We Are Going to Have a....

GIRL!!!!

On Monday, Carson, Daddy, and I went to THE doctor's appointment to find out the gender of our new little addition.  The day before, we found out again about insurance issues which have taunted us since our first appointment.  We were told that we could be seen, but then the waiting game began as Dr. Flowers was out delivering a new little one.  Finally, the sonographer called us back, and the nerves began to increase.  Brandon and I were totally content with a healthy baby, no matter the gender, but Carson was pretty adamant that a boy was what he needed.  Once the appointment got started, the sonographer started with all of the typical measurements and location of all the vital organs.  After a sigh of relief that everything was good, it was time.  Well, we all thought it was time, but baby decided that it would hold out a little longer.  The little one sat Indian style for the almost the entire appointment.  The baby had no problem moving its arms and even resting its arm on its head for a few minutes but had no intention of uncrossing those legs.  Thankfully, we were the last appointment of the day so the sonographer was more than patient with all of us.  After having mommy roll over from side to side, the little one stretched out one leg!  I could tell immediately that it was a girl but needed confirmation from the lady who knew so much more than I did.  By then, Carson was ready to go so when she said, "It's a GIRL", no one heard except me.  She repeated herself, and all I heard and saw was Daddy saying, "It's a girl?".  Yes, Brandon and I really wanted a girl at heart. We love Carson so much and just did not want to feel like we were comparing apples to apples.  So, two-thirds of our family is very excited.  One-third is taking some time to adjust to the news but is starting to come along.  He now talks about sister and all of the fun things that we are going to show her.  We cannot wait to meet our precious little Sister!

Waiting patiently for the doctor to call us back
