Happy Father's Day!

This was a very special Father's Day! We were able to celebrate two exciting events. First, we celebrated my dad being cancer free! God has answered so many of our prayers! My dad has been a trooper going through surgerys and treatments! Way to go Dad! We love you! We celebrated at our family's favorite restaurant, which is a nearby steakhouse. Yum! Yum! It was soooooo good!





Second, we were able to celebrate Brandon's pre-Father's Day. Our baby is so smart that it already bought Daddy a new Bible (to replace the one falling apart) to help guide him/her through it's life!

Florida 2010

On June 9, 2010, Brandon and I were able to get away for probably our last time with just the two of us before the baby arrives. We decided to go back to Sandestin, FL to enjoy the beauty of the ocean that God has created. Even though the ocean had not been tainted by the oil, it was filled with seaweed! Despite the setback, we savored every minute listening to the ocean, reading, listening to music, and hanging out at the pool!




If you have ever been to Sandestin, then you know that this is not typical! For those of you who haven't been, don't let this picture change your mind in the future. Typically, the ocean is very clear!

A Time to Celebrate

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!"

On Saturday, Brandon and I will be celebrating 16 weeks of being blessed to be pregnant! It has been a long journey, and we want to express our thanks for the prayers, love, and support over the past 2 years from our family and our friends. Here is a rundown of the past 16 weeks...

On March 30, 2010, I received the phone call from the nurse that our bloodwork came back positive! In disbelief, I had to have her repeat, "You are pregnant!" In a matter of minutes, I tried to come up with a way to tell Brandon the news. When he arrived home from work, he was greeted by two packages. One was blue and the other pink.


The following weekend we were able to share the news with the grandparents to be! In all of our excitement, we forgot to take pictues with Brandon's parents.












On April 23, 2010, we had our first sonogram!


Here I am at 7 weeks!


Here is the baby at 10 weeks!


Here I am at 12 weeks! I was very thankful to make it through this first trimester. It was a time of lots of sickness, but well worth it everytime we were able to see the pictures of the baby!
