Children's Museum

With summer in full swing, we are trying to pack in family time by visiting a variety of places!  Yesterday, we were able to experience the local Children's Museum for the first time.  Carson enjoyed a fun-packed day with family and friends!

Daddy and Carson making horned frog shadows!  Go TCU!

Daddy and Carson trying to make a paper airplane that will reach the wall.  I think that this one was the winner!

Carson loved playing the doctor and of course, for him that meant driving the ambulance!

"Stop, construction up ahead!"

Time to shop!  On his first run, he bought bread, bread, and more bread.  On the second run, he bought meat.  On the last run, he bought up the fruits and pretzels!

Baby Lilli's Shower

On June 28th, our family celebrated the upcoming arrival of baby Lilli!  Mimi graciously hosted the shower at her house with the help of Aunt Marta, Granna, and KK.  You are all soooooo special to us!  Thanks for all of your hard work!  We love you all!

Perdido Key 2014

Last week, we were able to spend the week in one of our favorite places, Perdido Key, FL.  Brandon's parents, Carson, Brandon, and I packed up the car and began the journey.  We stopped in Jackson, Mississippi for the night.  Our little 3 year-old was elated to say the least.  He hasn't stayed in a hotel very much so everything was exciting!  The next morning we continued to our destination.  The following day, we were able to pick up KK at the airport.  It was so great having her along!  As frequently as we have been blessed to go to the beach, the magnificance of the ocean never ceases to amaze me.  Throughout the week, we witnessed many dolphins, tons of fish, cranes, pelicans, and possibly a shark.  Carson loved the sand and the ocean for the first couple of days but then, decided that the pool was more his thing.  He has become a little fish in the water.  We are so proud of him!  The boys golfed and all of us ate an abundance of yummy food.  Thanks to my college roommate, we have been exposed to Lambert's (Home of the Throwed Rolls) so of course, we had to go there.  Carson loved yelling, "HOT ROLL" and trying to catch one from across the room!  The apple butter was delicious!  We also experienced yummy seafood from the Shrimp Basket to the Gulf.  To top it all off, we devoured the Key Lime pie from Publix and had a few helpings of frozen yogurt from Yogurt Plus.  Most of all, it was a great time with family!  Thank you Thomas' for letting us join the fun!

Last road trip in his own bed.  Lilli will be here soon!

Last Day of Preschool 2014

It is hard to believe that preschool is over for this school year.  Yesterday, Carson celebrated his last day with a circus theme.  Ms.Tammie and Ms. Karen have been amazing, and Carson has learned so much this year.  As much fun as school has been, we are also very excited about summertime!  So... many new adventures headed our way!

Easter Weekend 2014

This past Easter, we were able to spend time with lots of family and friends.  Kelly and Craig came into town from Chicago to celebrate time together before our new babies are born.  Yes, it is crazy but Kelly and I are both pregnant and only 3 weeks apart.  They have decided to wait until the birth of their little one to discover the gender but either way two great friends are sure to be born within only a few weeks.  During their stay, we were able to visit the Perot Museum, the Melting Pot, and the local parks.  Carson definitely considers them family so it was so fun to watch him take to the both of them even though we haven't seen them in a year.  We miss having them around all of the time!
